10th Annual Okeechobee Touch-A-Truck
The 10th Annual Okeechobee Touch-A-Truck, held January 31, 2026 at the Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center, welcomed more than 2,000 attendees and over 30 participating businesses and organizations. Families and children had the opportunity to explore vehicles and equipment used by industries that power the local economy, including: Construction and utilities, Public safety and emergency response, Transportation and logistics, Agriculture and heavy equipment. Attendees were able to enjoy experiences such as a helicopter display from Florida Fish and Wildlife, crane demonstrations from Beyel Brothers, SWAT vehicle experience with Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office, Firefighter agility course with Okeechobee County Fire Rescue, and a live K-9 demonstration.
The Okeechobee Touch-A-Truck continues to grow as a regional workforce awareness event, helping young residents explore career paths in skilled trades, public safety, construction, and infrastructure.
