OCEDC Partners with Career Insight Day 2026

The Career Expo at Indian River State College Dixon Hendry Campus was once again a tremendous success, bringing together students, educators, and industry partners for a day focused on career exploration and workforce inspiration.

More than 700 students — including 5th graders, 8th graders, and high school students in grades 10–12 — had the opportunity to visit campus, engage with local businesses and organizations, and gain valuable insight into a wide range of career pathways. Participants learned about day-to-day responsibilities, emerging technologies, and the many opportunities available within our region’s workforce.

A special thank you to Indian River State College Dixon Hendry Campus, Education Foundation of Okeechobee, Okeechobee County Schools (District, Staff, & Transportation Department), and the Okeechobee Retired Educators for their partnership and commitment to investing in our future workforce.
